Projects

Whatever your video production needs may be, there's a good chance I can help. If you're looking for someone to command a single stage of production — from shooting, to editing, to disc authoring or digital delivery — I can do that. Of course, if you're looking for someone to do it all, I can do that too. Possibilities include:

      event videography
      video yearbooks
      documentary
      web videos / webisodes
      corporate videos
      trailers
      commercials
      slideshows
      interviews
      short films

Not sure if your project is an Orange Dog Video project? Just ask. I am well aware of both my capabilities and my limits. And while there is no job too small, occasionally a project may be too big for a one-man operation. If I can’t provide your video production with everything it needs to be awesome and perfect, I will tell you up front. Plain and simple.

Deliverables

Receive your video in any form of digital media you want:

      good old standard-definition DVDs
      achingly sharp high-definition Blu-rays
pure digital copies for iPod or the web, including           the excellent h.264 codec

Rates

You won’t find any prices listed on this website. That's because no two projects are quite the same. I carefully consider each proposal on an individual basis, then provide a flat cost that would cover the entire project from start to finish. That’s it. Easy. And a video is not finished until it is just the way you want it — revisions are provided free of charge.

To put it another way, your project will receive more attention and cost less at Orange Dog Video than it would at a larger production company. Just let me know what you need and I will be happy to give you a price quote.

Equipment

The technique of a videographer is more important than his camera, but a good camera certainly can’t hurt. A great one is even better. I use the high-definition Sony PMW-EX1.

The Sony EX1 was introduced in 2007, and quickly became a favorite of professional videographers all over the world. It’s the newest member of Sony’s CineAlta family of cameras, which have been used to shoot Hollywood movies such as Star Wars Episode II and Episode III, and TV shows such as The Office. And while the EX1 may be the kid brother of the CineAlta family, its heritage is unmistakeable. The HD images that come out of this camera are simply stunning. Combine that with professional mics and lighting, and your video will have everything it needs to look and sound great.

For post production, my setup consists of a powerful Macbook Pro equipped with the industry standard Final Cut Studio, along with a collection of first-class video production software from Adobe. Taken together, these programs can do it all: editing, titles, graphics, sound, color correction, DVD authoring, Blu-ray authoring, and digital transcoding.
